VELVET REVOLVER frontman Scott Weiland finished recording the vocals to the last song for the band's upcoming debut album Friday (December 26) at Lavish studios in California with engineer Douglas Grean, according to Doug's latest posting at his web site.

As previously reported, Weiland is currently completing a six-month stay in a residential rehab facility in Pasadena, California, after an October 27 arrest for driving under the influence of drugs. He was recently placed in a strict lockdown after reportedly trying to smuggle drugs into the center.

VELVET REVOLVER's debut album, which was produced by Josh Abraham (LIMP BIZKIT, STAIND) and mixed by Andy Wallace (NIRVANA, WHITE ZOMBIE, LINKIN PARK, SLAYER, SEPULTURA),was mastered on December 19 in New York City and has been handed over to RCA Records, who are scheduled to release it on April 27, 2004.

VELVET REVOLVER's current lineup is completed by former GUNS N' ROSES members Slash (guitar),Duff McKagan (bass),and Matt Sorum (drums),along with guitarist Dave Kushner from Dave Navarro's (JANE'S ADDICTION) band.
